All at Hayes & Yeading United were saddened to hear the news today that following a lengthy illness former Hayes FC & United stalwart Norman Willimont has passed away.

Norman was always willing to pitch in and help around the club and this was recognised in the 2008/09 end of season awards when he was voted as the "Directors' Clubman of the Year".

On behalf of the Directors of Hayes & Yeading United I would like to offer sincere condolences to Norman's family and friends at this sad time.

Funeral details will be posted once known.

Both games will have a 19:45 kick-off as normal.

All at Hayes & Yeading United were saddened to hear the news this morning that Cyrille Regis had passed away aged just 59.

Cyrille played for Hayes FC in the 1976/77 season and scored 24 goals in 61 appearances before being signed by West Bromwich Albion where he started a stellar career in the professional game which also saw him capped by England.

Our deepest condolences go out to all of Cyrille's family and his friends inside and outside of football, a great loss.

United Media Officer Tim Fuell said of Cyrille "Truly one of life’s gentlemen. Calm, self affacing and just a genuine nice chap whenever I had the pleasure of his company".

With an immediate start possible, Hayes & Yeading United are looking for a qualified Sports Therapist for our first team based in Hayes, Middlesex.
